I've been putting this off until today. Thought it was only proper to post our Christmas Tree 2011 after Thanksgiving even thought its been up since three weeks ago. FYI, here in the Philippines, people usually assemble Christmas trees when the months end in ber begin, so usually by September, Christmas trees go up. We were late in putting up our tree considering flood threats but since the weather let up, we were able to set our tree up early November.
Anyway, we decorate our three different every year. One year it was decorated with silver pink and white decor. Another year, blue and silver, that year my grandmother died, it literally was a blue a Christmas. Then a year with silver and gold. This year though, we decided to decorate it with different colored balls and gold trimmings and set up a mini town underneath like we do every year. It's quite festive.
It's not a very big tree but we love it just the way it is.
Wishing all a happy holidays. ;D

Hi Laura! This a yearly tradition and one that we will probably do in years that follow. You still have a time to put your tree up to enjoy it a little longer. Happy Holidays!

Really? In September??? WOW, that's so unsual for me, September I'm still trying to get some bits of sunshine from Summer and you guys are putting Xmastrees up LOL sorry, I don't mean to be mean, I'm just genuinely kinda surprised! LOL Your tree is lovely! Love it! Here in Germany (btw, the xmas tree tradition comes from here!) we usually put up and decorate the trees on last sunday, 4 sundays before Xmas, we call it 1st Advent. Have lovely holidays!!! x x
ReplyDeleteYes Thais, by September, most Filipinos put up our Christmas trees, this year though we were late. Don't know exactly when and why this started in the Philippines because for as long as I can remember, it is the way it is. No offense taken, it is surprising to a lot of people. Thank you to the German Christmas Tradition that we are known to have the longest Christmas celebration in the world. We also celebrate advent as most Filipinos are Roman Catholics and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I hope we get a glimpse of your Christmas Tree. Happy Holidays!
